Self Love Self Care

Valentine’s Day can be a wonderful time if you’re in a happy, committed relationship. But what if you’re single, in a “situationship”, or feeling heartbroken?

How about we turn this whole month into a celebration of self-love instead of one day with the usual cards, flowers, and chocolates (though a little chocolate don’t hurt, am I right)?

Practicing self-care goes beyond hygiene and healthy eating—it’s about making time to treat yourself like the special person you are. So why not take yourself out a date?

Here are some examples:

- Dive into a new journal or a book you’ve been wanting to read

- Treat yourself to a delicious coffee or whip up a favorite recipe at home

- Blast some of your favorite songs and sing along

- Indulge in a relaxing shower or bath and pamper your skin with lotion

- Slip into an outfit that makes you feel like a million bucks

- Pick or buy some cheerful flowers for yourself

Don’t forget to take a moment to acknowledge your amazing body and all it does for you. A little gratitude for your heart and lungs giving you life goes a long way!

When was the last time you gave yourself a compliment?

Here’s a prompt to inspire you:

“Dear _____, I really appreciated how you _____ today. Thank you for that!”
